A body of a woman in her 30s has been found close to a hotel.
Police were called over reports of concern for the welfare of a woman in her 30s on Orchard Street in Wigan at around 9pm on Boxing Day, Decmber 26.
Police arrived at the scene where the woman was pronounced dead at the scene near the Mercure Wigan Oak Hotel.

The death is not believed to be suspicious, police have confirmed, reports the MEN.
A file has now been passed to the coroner.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 9am on Sunday 26 December 2021, police were called to reports of a concern for the welfare of a woman on Orchard Street, Wigan.
"Emergency services attended and a woman aged in her 30's was sadly pronounced dead.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file has been passed to the coroner."
