The body of a woman has been found near to a hotel in Wigan.
Police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman in Orchard Street at about 9am on Boxing Day (December 26).
A woman aged in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene, near to the Mercure Wigan Oak Hotel.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, say police.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 9am on Sunday 26 December 2021, police were called to reports of a concern for the welfare of a woman on Orchard Street, Wigan.
"Emergency services attended and a woman aged in her 30's was sadly pronounced dead.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file has been passed to the coroner."
