An investigation is underway after a 50-year-old woman was found dead at a house in Heathhall, Dumfries.
Police were called at 8am this morning following reports of a sudden death at an address at Anne Arundel Court in the town.
Officers investigating the case say the death is currently being a treated as unexplained.
However sources have said the death is also being treated as suspicious.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police were called around 8.05am on Monday, 13 April, 2020, following reports of the sudden death of a 50-year-old woman at an address in Anne Arundel Court, Dumfries.
"Enquiries are ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.“
