Body of woman found at Glasgow home as cops remain at scene three days later

The body of a woman has been found at a property in Glasgow, sparking a three-day police investigation. The discovery was made at around 3pm on Tuesday August 9 when officers received reports of concern for a person.

Mercy crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, rushed to St Ronan's Drive in Shawlands but the woman was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival. Her age is currently unknown.

Cops have now launched a probe into the woman's passing, which they are treating as 'unexplained'. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the event.

On Friday, officers sat in a van on the street outside numerous properties with police tape around the scene. Several bunches of flowers were tied to a lamppost nearby.

Messages on the flowers read: "Rest in Peace... fly high precious angel". Another message said: "So many precious memories, what a ball we had when we were younger".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to St Ronans Drive, Glasgow around 3pm on Tuesday, 9 August, 2022 following a report of concern for a person.

“Emergency services attended and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
