Body of woman, 60s, discovered at apartment in Cork city

The body of a woman in her 60s has been discovered at an apartment in Co Cork.

The discovery was made in a property on St Patrick's Hill in the city on Sunday morning.

Gardai were called to the scene just after 9am, Cork Beo reports.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A post mortem examination will be carried out on Sunday morning at Cork University Hospital and gardai say this will determine the course of the investigation.
