Body of woman, 50, found in flat in north Glasgow as police probe 'unexplained' death

Police have discovered the body of a woman at a flat in North Glasgow.

Officers made the discovery at a tenement block on Garscube Road in the Maryhill area last night around 10:25pm, the Daily Record reports.

The 50-year-old has not been identified yet.

Police say the death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

As of this afternoon, officers remained on the scene with the back court of the tenement building taped off.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an address in Garscube Road in Glasgow at around 10.25pm on Sunday, 21 February, 2021 following the sudden death of a 50-year-old woman.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
