The body of a woman was discovered in a Kilmarnock house earlier today.
Police have confirmed that a 41-year-old was found at a property on Morven Avenue this morning.
A post mortem will take place to determine the exact cause of death but officials are not treating it as suspicious.
A police spokeswoman said: “Around 11.35 am on Wednesday, April 8, a 41-year-old woman was found dead within a house in Morven Avenue, Kilmarnock.
“A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death which police are not treating as suspicious.
“A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
