Body of woman, 23, found at property in Dennistoun

The body of a woman, 23, has been found at a property in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow.

Police made the tragic discovery around 4:30am yesterday morning after attending an address in Craigpark Drive alongside ambulance crews following reports of concerns for a person, reports The Daily Record.

Unfortunately, the young woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been made aware.

Police say the death is being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the paper: “Officers were called to attend a property on Craigpark Drive in Glasgow following concerns raised for a 23-year-old woman shortly before 4.30am on Friday, 15 January.

“Emergency services attended but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin has been made aware.

“Her death is being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
