Body of West Lothian pensioner found at popular hiking spot as police rush to scene

The body of a man was discovered at a popular West Lothian hiking spot on Saturday morning.

Police and ambulance crews scrambled to an area near Cockleroy Hill, Linlithgow, around 9.45am on February 4, but the 69-year-old man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

It is understood that another couple came across the individual, who is thought to have been walking his dog at the time, before ambulance crews arrived.
