Body of pensioner found in Falkirk house as man is arrested

The body of a pensioner has been found within a house in Falkirk.

Cops raced to Grahams Road in the town at around 10:40am this morning, following reports of concern for a person inside.

An area has been taped off and officers can be seen standing guard.

At least eight police vehicles and three ambulances, including an incident response unit, were spotted at the scene earlier.

A 74-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a man, who's 49, was arrested in connection with the death.

Detective Inspector Robert Andrews, from Falkirk CID, said: “Officers were called around 10.45am on Tuesday, 23 February, 2021, to a report of a concern for a person in Grahams Road, Falkirk.

"Emergency services attended and a 74-year-old man was pronounced dead within the property.

"A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened."
