Body of missing Skye man who vanished from Co-Op tragically discovered near Loch

The body of a missing man has been found near a Loch in the Highlands.

Gordon Buchan vanished from a Co-Op in Broadford, Skye and Lochalsh, at around 6.30pm on Sunday, March 1.

His family had been 'extremely worried' over the 56-year-old's sudden disappearance.

They have now been made aware of the tragic discovery which police made yesterday at around 12.50pm on the shoreline of Loch Kishorn.

Detectives had been frantically searching for Gordon in a desperate bid to bring him home safely.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that the body of a man was found on the shoreline of Loch Kishorn around 1250pm on Saturday 14 March.

"He has been identified as Gordon Buchan from Kyle of Lochalsh who had previously been reported missing.

"His next of kin are aware."
