A man was found dead in woods after being reported missing eight hours earlier.
Cheshire Police launched a search supported by a helicopter over east Runcorn in the early hours of Friday. A force spokesman said the man was reported missing at 2am.
He was found dead in woods near Fernwood in Norton at around 10am. His death is not believed to be suspicious and next of kin are aware.

The ECHO approached the police for comment in relation to a helicopter seen hovering above the east of the town at around 4.30am.
The spokesman said: "The helicopter was out assisting in the search for a man who was reported missing at 2am today, March 24.
"Sadly, the man was found dead in a wooded area near Fernwood at around 10am.
"The death is not believed to be suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner."
