A body found by rescue teams at a reservoir near Tameside has been identified as that of a missing man from Manchester.
Police had been growing increasingly concerned for James Lee Hartshorne in recent days.
An urgent appeal to find the 41-year-old was issued by Derbyshire Police on Wednesday evening (September 8) after a van belonging to him was spotted in the High Peak area.

Officers said a white Volkswagen Caddy had been seen at Valehouse Reservoir, near Tintwistle.
Mountain rescue teams from Glossop, Oldham and Woodhead joined the search for Mr Hartshorne, along with four dogs from the Search and Rescue Association, and officers from both Derbyshire and Greater Manchester Police.
Mr Hartshorne was found the same day he went missing.
His loved ones have been informed.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, Derbyshire Police said.
A file is being prepared for the coroner.
Mountain rescue teams were alerted to Mr Hartshorne's disappearance after the van was spotted at Valehouse Reservoir.
At the time, Derbyshire Police said Mr Hartshorne may be seen in the area riding a push bike.
A spokesperson for Glossop Mountain Rescue Team said: "The team was called out on Wednesday afternoon at 3.05pm for what was reported as a missing vulnerable male, in the Valehouse reservoir area near Tintwistle.
"Along with police officers from both Derbyshire and Greater Manchester police forces, the team began to search the area around the reservoir.
"After further information it was decided to escalate the search, which meant calling in neighbouring teams Oldham and Woodhead, also Search and Rescue Dog Association tasked four dogs in the search.
"Unfortunately the body of a male was found in an area near Valehouse reservoir. The team would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends at this sad time."
