The body of missing man James Meechan, 46, has been found in Kirkintilloch, police confirmed today.
As reported on Glasgow Live, an appeal was launched to find Mr Meechan yesterday, as he had been missing for three days before.
He had last been seen around 8am on Sunday (September 28) in the Kirkintilloch area.
Today, a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “Around 5.15pm on Tuesday, October 2, the body of James Meechan was found in Kirkintilloch. His relatives are aware.
“There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
