Body of missing kayaker, 19, found after boat capsized

  • The body of Michael Henry, a 19-year-old kayaker missing since his boat capsized off Northumbria , has been recovered.
  • Mr Henry, from the Rothbury area, was found in the water off the coast of Blyth on 26 July.
  • He had been missing since 7 July when his kayak , carrying two men, overturned near Boulmer.
  • The second man involved in the incident was rescued by the coastguard after reaching a buoy.
  • Mr Henry's family previously released a statement on 15 July, describing him as a much-loved son, brother, and keen sportsman, and thanked everyone for their support.
