The body of a man missing since last week has been pulled from a river.
Police confirmed they had recovered the body of Henry Boyd, also known as Harry, from the River Lugar, near Cumnock.
Mr Boyd, 48, had been missing from the Auchinleck area.
But police recovered Mr Boyd’s body from the river around 2.20pm on Monday.
A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death but police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Relatives are aware and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
