THE body of a man has been recovered from the water in Perth.
Emergency services were called to a report of three men in the water in Perth at about 7.45pm on Thursday.
Two men were traced and were checked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Searches continued at Moncrieffe Island in the area on Friday, and police confirmed the body of a man was found shortly after 7pm.
Police said enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a man has been recovered following searches in the water it the Moncreiffe Island area of Perth. "Emergency services remain in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man."
Police, mountain rescue, the air support unit and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were among those involved in the search.
Tay Street has been closed in both directions, from Marshall Place to Canal Street, for motorists and pedestrians.
