Body of man recovered from River Clyde at Pacific Quay in Glasgow

The body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde near Pacific Quay in Glasgow.

The incident was reported to police around 1:05pm this afternoon.

Officers attended and were assisted by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to recover the body - which has yet to be identified.

Police confirm that enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde near Pacific Quay in Glasgow.

"The incident was reported to police around 1.05pm on Monday, 11 January. The body was recovered with the assistance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
