Body of man pulled from canal near Kilsyth marina

The body of a man has been pulled from the water in a Kilsyth canal this morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at about 9.15am today and Police Scotland recovered the man's body from the canal near Auchinstarry Marina between Kilsyth and Croy.

Officers remain at the scene as enquiries continue into the incident.

The man has not yet been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a man's body found in a canal near Auchinstarry Marina, around 9.15am on Saturday 17 August 2019.

"Specialist resources are in attendance and inquiries are ongoing to identify the man."
