A young man has been found dead in a park.
Police were called to woods in Warrington on Wednesday morning and discovered the body of a man, aged 34.
Officers arrived at the scene in Sankey Valley Park, close to Bewsey Farm Close, at 6.11am.
It followed a call to police about concerns for the welfare of a man.
The man comes from Warrington, and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
The matter will now be handed to the coroner.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At 6.11am on Wednesday 20 May officers were called to reports concerns for the welfare of a man in woodland off Bewsey Farm Close, Warrington.
"Officers attended and a 34-year local man was found dead.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner."
