Body of man in his 50s found at home

Police have appealed for help to trace the family of a 51-year-old man who was found dead at his Wirral home.

Ian McKie, 51, died at his home on Irby Avenue in Liscard yesterday, police have said.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious.

Police are now appealing for people with information on Mr McKie's next-of-kin to contact the coroner's office.

A police spokesman said to the ECHO : "Liverpool and Wirral Coroner’s Office is appealing for help to trace the next of kin of a man who recently died in Liscard. Ian McKie, 51, passed away at his home on Irby Avenue on Monday, 3 August.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
