The body of a man believed to be in his 30s was found in a car, police have today confirmed.
Lancashire Police made the discovery after officers were investigating a concern for welfare of a man.
Investigations led officers to Liverpool Old Road, just off the A59 near Tarleton, were a parked BMW was found, at around 5.15pm yesterday.
Police confirmed the body of a man was found inside.
A number of police vehicles, ambulance and a fire crew were reportedly called to the scene.

The man, who hasn’t yet been officially named, is believed to have come from the Burscough area.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “Officers investigating a concern for the welfare of a man in his 30s found a car in Liverpool Old Road, just off the A59 near Tarleton, at 5.15pm yesterday (November 29).
“Sadly, officers found the body of a deceased male inside the vehicle.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been informed.
“A file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course.”
