Body of man in his 20s discovered in Radcliffe park

The body of a man in his 20s was found at a park in Radcliffe this morning.

Police were called to Close Park on Dumers Lane just before 5.40am on Monday (May 24).

On arrival, they found the body of a man in his 20s. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A file is currently being prepared for the coroner, a spokesman for GMP confirmed.

In a statement, the force said: “Officers were called to a report of a body found on Close Park on Dumers Lane, Radcliffe, just before 5.40am this morning (24 May 2021).

“Emergency services attended and a man in his 20s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for HM Coroner.”
