Body of man found on Arran following search for missing German tourist

Police have found a body on Arran in the search for a missing German tourist.

Officers say formal identification has yet to take place, but it's believed to be 58-year-old German tourist, Valerij Tomarenko.

Mr Tomarenko had been missing since Thursday, August 15. His family have been informed.

He was last spotted on CCTV on Arran earlier this week.

Officers searching for Mr Tomarenko found his body on Goatfell around 11:30am on Thursday, August 22.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
