Body of man found near Ayrshire viaduct as police race to concern for person call

The body of a man has been found at an Ayrshire viaduct at the weekend, police have confirmed.

Cops raced to Glaisnock Viaduct just before 10pm on Saturday night after receiving a concern for person call in Cumnock.

Officials have confirmed today that the body of a man was found at 11.45pm at the viaduct near Wylie Crescent in the town.

Police say that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.55pm on Saturday, July 16, police attended a concern for person call in Cumnock.

"Around 11.45pm the body of a man was found at a viaduct to the rear of Wylie Crescent, Cumnock.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
