A man’s body has been discovered in a wooded area in north Manchester.
Police were called to Victoria Avenue East, in Blackley, at around 11.05am on Monday morning (October 25) following a report of the discovery of a man’s remains.
Officers sealed off the area while investigations were carried out.
The deceased man has not yet been identified, Greater Manchester Police said.
Specialist officers were seen working in the area - close to the busy main road - throughout the afternoon.

A Tactical Aid Unit and a police van were parked on the road, close to the police cordon.
Traffic continued to flow freely on the main road.
A private ambulance arrived at the scene at around 2.30pm.
Emergency services have since left the area, but a cordon remains in place this evening.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed details of the incident in a statement.
A spokesman for the force said: "Police were called around 11.05am today (25 October) to Victoria Avenue East, Manchester to a report of the discovery of a body of a man.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing to identify the male.
"A scene is currently in place."
