Body of man found in Swansea woodlands

The body of a man has been found in an area of woodlands in Swansea.

The discovery was made in woods between Ynystawe and Ynysforgan on Sunday morning.

A police spokesman said the man's death was currently being treated as "unexplained" but it is not thought to be suspicious.

It is understood the body was found by a member of the public in a patch of woodland off a path that runs from Bryntawe Road in Ynystawe.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "At approximately 8.45am on Sunday police were called following the discovery of a man's body in a wooded area of Ynysforgan, Swansea .

"The man's death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.

"The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation."
