Body of man found in Scots property with cops treating death as 'unexplained'

The body of a man has been found in a Scots property with cops treating the death as "unexplained".

Police responded to a report of a concern for a person on High Blantyre Road, Hamilton, at around 11.50am on Friday, January 14.

The body of a man, who has not yet been identified, was found within a residence on the street.

Police Scotland confirmed that the death is being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called around 11.50am on Friday, 14, January, to a report of a concern for a person in the High Blantyre Road area of Hamilton.

"The body of a man was found within a property.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious."
