Police are probing the 'suspicious' death of a man in Blantyre.
Officers raced to a flat in Camelon Crescent in the South Lanarkshire town after the alarm was raised around 3.30pm on Wednesday March 31.
They were initialluy called to a ' disturbance ' in the area.
A 33-year-old man was found inside then discovered in a flat, with police treating the death as suspicious.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out 'in due course' to establish the full circumstances.
Officers have been making door-to-door enquiries and scouring relevant CCTV as part of their investigation.
Cops are urging anyone with information, witnesses or motorists with dash cam footage to get in touch.
Detective Inspector Frank Travers said: “This will be a shock to the community and I would like to reassure them that we are doing all we can to find out exactly what has happened.
"I am appealing to members of the public for assistance, if you were in Camelon Crescent or in the surrounding areas yesterday afternoon, you may have seen something which could assist our investigation.
"In particular, if you have a dash cam, please check the footage. It’s possible you captured images which could help us, small, minor details can be vital in inquiries such as this so please do pass the information on.
"Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2154 of March 31.
"Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously."
