A body found in a park lake yesterday was confirmed as a man who was missing for a month.
Merseyside Police confirmed the discovery of a body in a lake at Birkenhead Park, was missing John Connors.
Mr Connors, 76, was last seen in Bedford Road in Birkenhead on November 30.

Police confirmed the body had been formally identified and officers are supporting his family.
A spokesperson said: "Police officers can confirm that the body of the man found in Birkenhead Park on Thursday, December 30 is that of missing 76-year-old John Connors.
"He has been formally identified and officers are supporting his family at this difficult time.
"His death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of his death."
Merseyside Police confirmed a man was pronounced dead at Birkenhead Park in Wirral shortly after officers were contacted at 2.05pm.
A police presence remained at Birkenhead Park on Thursday was part of the park sealed off from members.
