Body of man found in Loch Lomond after cops probe 'abandoned boat' near Cameron House

The body of a man was found in Loch Lomond yesterday after police investigated reports of a boat which had ran aground near Cameron House.

The man’s death, which is being treated as ‘unexplained’, was confirmed after police were notified of an abandoned inflatable boat on the shore close to the five-star hotel at around 2pm.

An investigation was ongoing in the area last night as police tried to determine what had happened.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 2pm, Police Scotland were notified of a rib boat which had been found run aground near Cameron House Hotel.

“Officers attended and subsequently the body of a man, who is yet to be identified, was recovered from the water a short distance away in Loch Lomond.

“The death is being treated as unexplained at this moment and significant enquiries are underway to establish the cause of the incident.”
