Emergency services were called to Inglis Green Road, in the Longstone area, shortly after midnight on Saturday.

A 33-year-old man was sadly found to have passed away and officers are currently treating his death as “unexplained”.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and the man’s next of kin have been made aware of the tragic news.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said:  "Officers were called to an address on Inglis Green Road in Edinburgh, around 12.05am on Saturday 15 August 2020, following the sudden death of a 33-year-old man.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but there are no suspicious circumstances. His next of kin have been made aware.

“Enquiries are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
