Body of man found in Edinburgh home after sudden death as cops race to scene

Emergency services raced to a home in Edinburgh following the sudden death of a man within the property.

Police and medics rushed to Waterfront Avenue, Granton, in the north of the capital after the 34-year-old was found at around 10.15pm on Tuesday, July 6.

Forensic officers in white boiler suits were spotted entering the property in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

Cops say a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.15pm on Tuesday, 6 July, officers were called to a property on Waterfront Avenue, Edinburgh, following the sudden death of a 34-year-old man.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending post-mortem, however there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

"As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
