Body of man found in Dundee flat being treated as 'unexplained' by police

The body of a man has been found in a flat in Dundee.

The 54-year-old man was discovered dead in a flat in Park Avenue in the city around 1.15pm on April 4.

The Evening Telegraph report how there was a large police presence in the area on Sunday.

Nearby residents described seeing forensics at the scene as well as police officers conducting door to door inquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of the sudden death of a 54-year-old man at a property on Park Avenue in Dundee shortly around 1.15pm on Sunday, 4 April, 2021.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, though there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
