Gardai are investigating after a man's body was discovered inside a campervan at a popular beach in Co Clare.
The man, who was in his 50s, was found inside the vehicle at Lahinch Beach carpark on Sunday afternoon at around 3.20pm.
Gardai from nearby Ennistymon were called to the scene and after they were unable to gain entry to the van, they requested support from local fire services.
Clare County Fire and Rescue Service and the National Ambulance Service paramedics attended the scene and were able to enter the campervan.
The vehicle was taken from the carpark and the man's body was then taken to the mortuary in University Hospital Limerick.

Gardai say a post mortem examination will be carried out at a later date.
However, it is understood that the man's death is being treated as a tragic incident and that foul play is not suspected at this time.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Ennistymon attended a scene in Lahinch, Co.Clare [yesterday] afternoon, 12th September 2021 at approximately 3.20pm following the discovery of a man’s body.
"The body of the man (50s) was later removed to the mortuary in University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem will be conducted at later date."
