Body of man found at Glasgow flats as police forensics comb scene

A probe has been launched after a man was found dead in a Glasgow block of flats.

Police raced to Balvicar Drive in the Queens Park area of the city this morning at around 11.30am this morning when they discovered the 39-year-old.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and cop s are now investigating the exact cause.

They added there was not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

Mercy crews including police in forensics suits and ambulances arrived at the property earlier.

A source said as he was leaving through Queens Park he saw another ambulance arrive.

A police spokesman said: "Around 11.30am on Tuesday, 26 May, officers were called to an address in Balvicar Drive, Glasgow. 

"A 39 year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Enquiries are ongoing and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however the death is currently being treated as unexplained although there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances. "

He added: "A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
