Body of man discovered near Scots country park as cops probe unexplained death

Police are probing the 'unexplained' death of a man after his body was discovered near a Scots country park this morning.

Emergency services attended the Balloch Road area of Balloch, Alexandria, around 11am on Sunday morning after the grim find.

A large emergency presence remains in the area as cops probe the full circumstances.

The area around the toilets at Balloch bus stand is currently cordoned off, with police officers and forensics teams on the scene.

Enquiries remain ongoing and the man's death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Sunday, 19 September, officers were made aware that the body of a man was found in the Balloch Road area of Balloch, Alexandria.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

“Emergency services remain in the area.”
