Body of man discovered in Strathclyde Park as police launch investigation

The body of a man has been found in Strathclyde Park.

Police were called to the scene at 10am on Tuesday morning after a body was spotted in Strathclyde Loch by a female member of the public.

The body of a man was then recovered from the water in Motherwell.

Officers say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident however investigations are still being carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 10am on Tuesday, 1 December, 2020 to a report of a body being seen in the loch, near to Spine Road in Motherwell.

“The body of man has been recovered, there are no suspicious circumstances and enquiries are ongoing.”
