The body of a man in his 50s has been found after an incident at a shooting range in north Dublin yesterday.
It is understood the victim suffered a fatal gunshot wound at the shooting range in Balheary, Swords at around 3:30pm on Sunday.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts from paramedics and emergency services to save him.
A postmortem is to be held which will determine the course of the Garda investigation surrounding his death.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí attended an incident at a shooting range in Balheary, Swords, Co. Dublin, yesterday, Sunday 16th February.
The body of a male in his fifties was discovered. A post mortem will be conducted, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation."
