The body of a 37-year-old man has been found in a drain in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.
Gardaí in Ballyshannon are investigating all circumstances surrounding the tragic discovery.
The man's remains were found in the water-filled drain on the roadside at Cloghore on the main Ballyshannnon to Beleek road at approximately 11pm on Saturday, February 22.
A garda spokesperson told The Irish Daily Mirror: "His body remains at the scene which is currently preserved for examination.
"The local Coroner has been notified. Investigating Gardaí say the course of their investigation in to the death will be determined by the outcome of a post-mortem examination. Enquires are ongoing."
