Body of man, 30, found in Cumbernauld after police called to property

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body in Cumbernauld.

Police discovered the body of a 30-year-old man at an address on Springfield Road around 11pm on June 9.

Officers had been called to the property after reports of concern for a person, reports the Daily Record.

An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing, with the death currently being treated as "unexplained".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a property on Springfield Road in Cumbernauld around 11pm on Wednesday, June 9 following a concern for person call by a member of the public.

"On arrival, officers found the body of a 30-year-old man within. The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
