Body of Ayrshire man found in loch as police launch investigation into cause of death

A body has been found in the hunt for a missing Ayrshire man, police have confirmed this evening.

The tragic discovery was made earlier today at Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch.

While formal identification has yet to take place, cops say the family of missing Ayrshire man Kenneth Watson have been informed.

Enquiries are now ongoing to establish the exact cause of death, which is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Kenneth was last seen at this address on Beech Avenue, Beith around 9.30pm on Tuesday, November 30 and reported missing later that night.
