Body of a young man found near Bromborough golf course

The body of a man was found near a golf course early on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene, on Raby Hall Road, close to Brombrough Golf Club at 9.30am to reports that a member of the public had discovered a body.

The death of the young man, believed to be in his 20s, has been described as non-suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO : "We were called to Raby Hall Road on Friday at 9.30am to reports that the body of a man had been discovered by a member of the public.

"The death is being classed as non-suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner."

Pictures taken near the scene show the grounds of the golf club, surrounded by trees, where forensics officers will have been at work throughout the morning.

The man's next of kin have been informed of his death.
