Body of a man recovered from the River Clyde near Renfrew

The body of a man was pulled from the Clyde near Renfrew this afternoon.

The tragic discovery was made near the Rothesay Dock section of the river north of Renfrew Golf Club.

Our photos show two Ministry of Defence boats scouring the river around 1.10pm today.

Police say they are investigating the matter.

Body of a man pulled from the Clyde earlier today (Paisley Daily Express)

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware that a body of a man had been found in the River Clyde near Rothesay Dock, Clydebank, at around 12.40pm on Sunday, 17 July, 2022. Enquiries are ongoing.”
