Body language expert analyses Hancock kiss video - from hip-wiggle to submissive ritual

Matt Hancock appeared to adopt a 'submissive' pose just before he kissed his aide in his office, according to a body language expert.

Judi James suggests the Tory MP then turned up the temperature by wiggling his hips against Gina Coladangelo, before she 'put the brakes on' and ended their embrace.

The body language expert made her comments in response to new CCTV footage showing the passionate kiss at the Department of Health's London HQ.

The Health Secretary has apologised for breaking social distancing rules with the embrace - which reportedly took place on May 6 - although he has refused to resign.

Labour is calling for Prime Minister Boris Johnson to sack the Health Secretary, who has been involved in a string of scandals in recent months.

'Doh’ moment

Hancock’s prolonged and furtive checking outside the door before closing it looks almost comical as he is apparently oblivious to the CCTV that is filming away inside the room.

Submissive ritual

When he turns to stand in front of the door he appears to adopt a pose of submissive anticipation, standing with his arms down at his sides and his feet close together.

Pit-baring approach

She walks up with both hands on her hips in a splay gesture that will normally suggest a more assertive approach. They appear to be making eye contact here, too.

Roaming hands

They do roam around her body, from the bum-squeeze to the hips and pelvis to her back. He even pulls her left thigh up at one point, which is probably one of the sexiest gestures in this video.

Hip wiggle

This pelvic gesture also makes it look as though things are accelerating here as he wiggles his pelvis against hers.

Cool down

She puts the brakes on. Possibly guessing things are getting too passionate here she takes what looks like several steps to cool things down.

She brings her hands lower down his arms, pushing his hands out to the sides and whispering in his ear and then carefully backing away, performing a small shimmy and placing her hands behind her back as though getting into return to work mode.
