Body in Sydney pond suspicious: police

Scott Bradshaw, 42, was found partially submerged in a pond at Sydney's Rockdale Bicentennial Park. (AAP)

A man whose body was discovered partially submerged in a large pond surrounded by bushland in a Sydney park may have met with foul play, police say.

Scott Bradshaw, 42, was last seen at lunchtime on April 24, at Brighton Le Sands in Sydney's south.

His body was pulled from the water at the nearby Rockdale Bicentennial Park over a week later.

Now police are trying to piece together his final movements. They say the death is suspicious.

Mr Bradshaw parked his car near the park around 9.30pm on April 24, strike force investigators have learned.

Items of clothing belonging to Mr Bradshaw were found in the pond when police divers searched it again on May 29.

Police have released CCTV images of people who were around the park that day. They're not believed to have been involved in the death, but investigators want to speak to them as part of their inquiries.

Mr Bradshaw was reported missing on April 30.

Anyone who may have been or spoken with him in his final days is urged to come forward.
