Body found on Welsh coastline believed to be missing woman Uma Kulkarni

The body of a woman recovered from the sea off the Welsh coast is believed to be that of missing woman Uma Kulkarni.

The 42-year-old was reported missing on April 3 from her home in Herefordshire, with Avon and Somerset Constabulary believing she came to the Bristol and North Somerset area.

Police have informed Ms Kulkarni's family, after a woman's body was found in the water off St Anne’s Head in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, on April 24.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: “Formal identification has not yet taken place but due to items recovered we have made the family of missing 42-year-old woman Uma Kulkarni aware of this discovery. We are keeping them fully updated."

Ms Kulkarni was thought to have travelled into the Avon and Somerset force area as her car – a bronze coloured Toyota Auris – was found near Aust Services, close to the Severn Bridge crossing.
