Body found on Scots shoreline amid search for missing dad Shaun Banner

Police have confirmed a body has been found on a Scots shoreline amid the search for missing man Shaun Banner.

Officers from the Highlands and Islands Police Division made the tragic discovery at around 2pm this afternoon, June 14, on Shore Road West in Invergordon.

Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Shaun, 34, has been made aware.

He was first reported missing from the area on Saturday, April, 23 and his family had made several appeals for information regarding his disappearance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The death is being treated as unexplained, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
