A man's body has been discovered on a beach in Fife this morning.
Cops raced to Kirkcaldy after the grim find at around 7am this morning, July 14.
It's understood part of a footpath on Kirkcaldy promenade has been sealed off following tragic discovery.
Emergency services remain at the scene this morning with a large police presence said to be in the area.
The force confirmed an investigation has been launched to establish the full circumstances around the man's death.
A Police Scotlan d spokesperson said: “Around 7am on Wednesday, 14 July, police received a report of the body of a man found on the beach at Kirkcaldy.
"Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
