Police searching for a missing Glasgow woman on the Isle of Wight have discovered a body.

Rosie Johnson, who worked in a holiday camp in Wootton on the island, disappeared on Sunday sparking a large scale search.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Rosie, a University of Glasgow graduate, is the niece of Daniel Johnson, Labour MSP for Edinburgh Southern.

Cops and coastguard teams had been focusing their efforts on a number of areas on the island, with officers from the constabulary saying they were "seriously concerned" for her safety.

A Hampshire police spokesman said: "Formal identification procedures are ongoing but Rosie's next of kin have been made aware of the discovery.

"At this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
